Additional Gear:
  long sleeves and pants or a wetsuit provide abrasion protection. This is a harsh canyon system on gear, so don't bring your specialized wet-canyon mesh pack or favorite capilene top.
Driving Directions:
  From Hanksville: drive south on Highway 95 for about 26 miles to the junction of Highway 276 and Highway 95. Turn right onto Highway 276 and proceed another 9 miles to where Middle Fork Maidenwater crosses under the road as a deep gorge with a drainpipe. Park wherever you can find a safe pullout and drop into the gorge via a scree slope and head up canyon; or, if descending, route find along the north rim to the canyon head.

  Lots of fun partner-assisted upclimbs; this canyon is a good way to access the head of Trail Canyon to the South. Make sure you have a skilled lead climber with you to lead the exit slab (south rim) or difficult chimney at the canyon head.
