Comments:
Don't forget to check out the petroglyphs on your way in, and watch carefully for the shortcut on the approach. It's easier to find on the way back. The scramble down the steep drainage into the canyon has lots of loose rock and justifies a helmet. This canyon may be the poster child for overbolting in the Swell, so please try to reduce impact where you can. Some of these old anchors are on boulders that may eventually wash away with continued flash flooding, so endeavor to use natural techniques if these disappear. Wise canyoneers will bring 100' of webbing and pothole escape gear in case of adverse conditions.
