From just east of Virgin, we turn north on the Kolob Reservoir Road. We followed it past the Blue Springs Reservoir. We take the first right after the bridge crossing Kolob Creek. We passed the gravel road. We spotted one car outside the gate of "Camp Kolob", just south of Cave. We then followed the road around the head of Cave and parked the other car where the road crosses the next drainage north, Chute.

Comments:
We did this trip by having one group descend Chute and the other descend Cave, fixing ropes as we went. We met at the confluence and swapped car keys, had lunch. We then ascended the opposite canyon. Special care was taken to use large diameter ropes and edge protection for ascending. Talk to Jonothan at Zion Adventure Company if you are considering this option, and also see notes on Chute. This canyon is like a milder, less intense version of Kolob. We wore drysuits and were grateful, though some have gotten by with thick wetsuits. It is also possible to continue out Oak Creek to Kolob to the MIA and then out. This is also a great alternate entry into Kolob Creek for an overnight trip out the Narrows.
